Leader Education is recruiting a Learning Support Assistant- Care Assistant to join a specialist Catholic primary school in Northumberland, supporting children aged 4–11 years with a range of additional needs. Applications are welcomed from recent graduates as well as candidates with relevant experience or transferable skills. This is a long-term position following a successful trial day, with working hours Monday to Friday, 8:30am–4:30pm. The Successful Candidate Will
Have a fully enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to obtain one
Have experience working in a transferable role
Follow personalised curriculums and care plans to meet pupil's requirements
Work with pupils on both a 1:1 basis and in group settings, communicating effectively
Participate in the planning and implementation of the curriculum through lesson planning and delivery
Set up lessons, equipment and activities within the classrooms
Collaborate with teachers, therapists and other teams to create a holistic supportive environment for pupils
