The Role
We're seeking an experienced Project Manager or Senior Building Surveyor with a strong building surveying background to join our Bristol office. You'll take ownership of projects across their full lifecycle, working closely with prestigious clients and colleagues to deliver high-quality outcomes. This is a hands-on role with real responsibility and the opportunity to influence how we continue to grow as a consultancy.
You'll manage varied and challenging projects across industrial, commercial, education, and leisure sectors, leading client relationships and reporting directly to them whilst managing your own workload and supporting junior colleagues.
What You'll Do
* Lead projects from inception through to completion, managing all phases of the property development cycle
* Conduct pre-contract technical due diligence and advise clients on project viability
* Manage client relationships proactively, responding to their needs and reporting on project progress
* Oversee quality inspections, construction technology assessments, and technical reporting
* Handle construction procurement and contract administration, particularly JCT contracts
* Work independently and collaboratively within a small, supportive team
* Support and mentor junior colleagues on project delivery and technical matters
* Identify and manage project risks and provide creative solutions to challenges
What We're Looking For
* Background in building surveying with strong project management experience
* Experience as a Project Manager or Building Surveyor within a consultancy environment
* Strong understanding of the full property development cycle, including pre-contract technical due diligence
* Confidence to lead projects, manage client relationships, and report directly to clients
* Sound knowledge of construction technology, quality inspections, and reporting
* Experience with construction procurement and contract administration, particularly JCT
* Exposure to industrial, education, and/or multi-room sectors (desirable but not essential)
* Relevant professional qualification such as MCIOB or RICS
* Stable and demonstrable track record of successful project delivery
* Full UK driving licence
