You’ll be part of a wider Electrical Design Team – ERS (Energy Recovery System), this role is responsible for the specification, design, development, testing, debugging and operation of Power Unit (PU) electronics components from initial concept through to successful usage on the PU during races. The role will also include support of design/test power electronics components, ERS system testing, and any other engineering duties, as directed by the Team Leader of the team.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Design and deliver the high voltage and high-power component/system for ERS
2. Execute and improve component and system testing internally and externally to gain system safety, reliability and performance
3. Continuously improve design and test processes
What We’re Looking For:
4. An Electrical/Electronic Engineer degree or equivalent qualification
5. Multi-year experience in state-of-art electronics systems and test engineering
6. Skilled at starting a system design from a blank sheet of paper and finding innovative solutions, which enable performance advantages while maintaining the highest product quality
7. Background of designing highly efficient and power-dense hybrid systems
8. Proven track record of successful fault investigation, containment, and rectification
9. Team spirit, creativity, and a proactive approach to work
10. Familiarity with tools such as System Monitor, ATLAS and MATLAB would be advantageous
