Are you an experienced Key Stage 2 teacher looking for a rewarding opportunity in a high-performing, community-focused school?
Hays Education are proud to be working in partnership with an Ofsted-rated Outstanding school in Doncaster to recruit a dedicated and skilled Year 5 Class Teacher to cover a maternity leave from January to July 2026.

📝 The Role:
Full-time teaching responsibility for a Year 5 class, including planning, preparation and assessment (PPA)
Delivering engaging, high-quality lessons in line with the national curriculum
Supporting the wider school community through extracurricular activities and school trips
Contributing to a collaborative and reflective teaching team
Personal reflection to ensure that pupils are given every opportunity to extend their learning
Modelling of positive behaviours at all times
A strong sense of community, where staff contribution is expected and appreciated
✅ Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a PGCE - this role is not suitable for unqualified teachers
Substantial classroom experience in Key Stage 2 - not suitable for ECTs
A commitment to maintaining high standards of teaching and learning
A proactive, flexible and enthusiastic approach to school life
Willingness to complete a full compliance process, including DBS checks
