The Role

Job Title – Case Manager

Division – Restructuring & Resolution, Financial Lines Group, Howden Insurance Brokers Limited

Location – Birmingham

Hours – Full Time (Mon-Fri 9:00 – 17:30)

What you'll do

Clients

1. Develop strong relationships with clients and colleagues

2. Develop strong relationships with insurers

3. Deal with client quote requests, placements, renewals and mid-term adjustments

4. Ensure transactions are conducted with full transparency & accuracy

Suppliers/Markets

5. Develop strong relationships with markets

Broking

6. Create comprehensive client and broking documents as required

7. Obtaining quotes, indications and endorsements

8. Technical duties (including data entry, credit control, bordereau production and chasing subjectivities)

9. Assist in planning the most appropriate insurance program for the client’s demands and needs

10. Provide advice, support and training to colleagues and direct reports

Compliance

11. Ensure compliance with all applicable Company and/or Group policies and procedures

12. Ensure correct authorisation is obtained and processes followed when required by the Company and /or Group policies and procedures

13. Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements

14. Ensure that own performance, HR and T&C records are up to date and meet the Company and/or Group’s requirements

15. Maintain accurate records and deal with correspondence appropriately

16. Ensure compliance with Anti Bribery and Corruption policy and procedures

Who we're looking for

17. Ideally 2+ years commercial insurance experience but training will be provided.

18. Negotiation and influencing skills.

19. Enjoy solving problems.

20. Team player, and able to build sustainable relationships.

21. Professional and personable.

22. An ability to learn.

23. IT Literacy with a working knowledge of Word and Excel required.

24. Good organisational skills and ability to multi task and plan own workloads.

25. Strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate work under pressure.

26. Previous experience of line management

Professional Qualifications

27. Qualified to CERT CII level or above or progression towards gaining professional qualifications is desired.
