Our client, a busy local authority in Nort London, are looking for an experienced Commercial Vehicle Technician to join their team and play a crucial role within their vehicle maintenance operations. Position: Commercial Vehicle Technician Rate: £39,276 per annum Contract Duration: Permanent Working Arrangement: Fully Onsite Job Purpose: This pivotal role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of commercial vehicles, ensuring optimal performance and safety standards. Job Duties: Perform detailed diagnostics and repairs on commercial vehicles including trucks, trailers, and heavy machinery. Conduct routine maintenance checks and service procedures according to manufacturer specifications. You will utilise your advanced technical expertise to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues, perform routine inspections, and execute preventive maintenance. Maintain accurate records of all services and repairs performed on vehicles. Job Requirements: Proven experience as a Commercial Vehicle Technician, preferably at Level 3 or equivalent. NVQ 3 or IMI 3 Heavy Motor Vehicle qualification or equivalent. Qualified Commercial Vehicle Inspector (VOSA accreditation). Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems specific to commercial trucks and heavy vehicles. Up to date MOT test qualification and the ability to drive class 2 vehicle.
