About The Role
As a key member of our IT Technical Support team, you’ll play a vital role in delivering, deploying and supporting various teams across our manufacturing site. This is an exciting opportunity offering a great learning path to provide both 1st and 2nd line support to various teams.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Providing 1st and 2nd line support to resolve IT / Software and Hardware issues.
* Updating and resolving tickets through the ticketing system.
* Escalate support requests accordingly whilst ensuring that clear communication is maintained throughout until resolution.
* Maintain and support existing IT infrastructure (both software and hardware) when required.
* Curate and contribute to our IT knowledge base
Who We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone who has a keen interest in IT, has either pursued this through further education or started to develop this through on the job training.
You’ll Need
* An HNC/HND or Degree in Information Technology would be desirable but not essential
* Experience in providing 1st/2nd line technical support.
* Good communication and interpersonal skills
* An understanding of networking, knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS and DHCP
* Have a methodical or problem-solving approach to help identify and resolve technical support queries.
* A passion for learning and development.
