Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled and motivated Mobile Fire Alarm Engineer to join our team. This is a hands-on role that involves servicing, maintaining, and repairing fire alarm systems at client sites throughout London and the South East. The successful candidate will be comfortable working independently, with strong technical knowledge and a focus on delivering a first-class service to our clients.
Responsibilities
* Service, maintain, and repair a wide range of fire alarm systems across commercial premises.
* Carry out fault-finding, diagnostics, and corrective works to ensure systems remain compliant and operational.
* Complete routine inspections, testing, and servicing in line with industry regulations and client requirements.
* Provide clear and accurate reports, ensuring documentation is completed to a high standard.
* Respond to emergency call-outs as part of our 24/7 rota, delivering timely and effective support.
* Work closely with clients on-site, providing technical advice and maintaining strong customer relationships.
* Keep up to date with relevant fire safety standards, regulations, and best practices.
Experience & Skills
* Proven experience working as a Fire Alarm Engineer (mobile or site-based).
* Strong knowledge of fire detection and alarm systems, including commissioning and fault-finding.
* Familiarity with BS 5839 and other relevant fire safety standards.
* Good understanding of electrical systems and integration with fire alarms.
* Excellent communication skills with a professional, client-focused approach.
* Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and cover a mobile patch.
* Full UK driving licence
Certifications & Qualifications
* FIA (Fire Industry Association) training – BS 5839 modules.
* 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (desirable).
* IPAF / PASMA (desirable for working at height).
* Manufacturer training (e.g. Advanced, Kentec, Morley, Gent) is an advantage.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £36,000.00-£43,000.00 per year
