Job Overview
We are seeking a talented and dedicated Sous Chef to join our culinary team. As a Sous Chef, you will assist the Head Chef in overseeing kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food quality, safety, and presentation.
Responsibilities
* Supervise kitchen staff and coordinate food preparation activities to ensure timely service.
* Assist in menu planning and development, contributing innovative ideas for dishes.
* Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in accordance with regulations.
* Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative team environment.
* Oversee food production processes, ensuring consistency and quality in all dishes served.
* Manage inventory and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
* Collaborate with the Head Chef to maintain kitchen efficiency and productivity.
* Ensure that all kitchen equipment is maintained and operated safely.
Requirements
* Proven experience in a similar role within a restaurant or hospitality environment.
* Strong culinary skills with a solid understanding of food preparation techniques.
* Experience in supervising and managing kitchen teams effectively.
* Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
* Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and inspire team members.
* A passion for cooking and creating exceptional dining experiences.
