They are currently experiencing exciting growth plans with work orders and projects growing at a rapid rate, naturally this has led to the requirement for an additional Senior Electronics Design Engineer to join their multi:disciplined team. Role and Responsibilities:
* Responsible for the design of safety:critical Electronics used in combination with embedded software medical device platforms, including RTOS and bare:metal systems.
* Assist in the selection of appropriate technologies and components.
* Create and maintain design documentation of electromedical devices.
* Generate and maintain design:related documents such as DFMEA and Technical Project Files to support market clearance.
* Establish and design suitable test methods along with taking an active role in the verification and validation of software.
* Contribute to cybersecurity threat modelling and risk assessment.
* Record all formal and relevant informal engineering information in the product lifecycle management (PLM) system.
* Provide support for legacy devices if necessary.
* Undertake other reasonable duties as requested by management.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
* Minimum 6 years of engineering experience in electronics design, with exposure to all stages of the product development lifecycle from specification to production.
* Strong knowledge of medical device regulations and standards (e.g., FDA, ISO 13485, IEC60601, ISO62304, ISO14971).
* Strong experience with analogue and digital circuit design for embedded controllers.
* Proven ability to perform test and debug of analogue and digital circuits.
* Strong debugging, fault:finding, and problem:solving skills.
* Appreciation of embedded software (C/C++), RTOS, or Linux/Android:based systems to support hardware/software integration.
