Spacelabs is seeking an experienced Senior Flutter / Dart Software Engineer to join our R&D team and lead the design, development, and delivery of high‑quality cross‑platform mobile applications. This role is hands‑on and highly technical, requiring strong engineering fundamentals, deep Flutter expertise, and experience building robust applications—ideally in regulated or quality‑focused environments.
You will collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams, shape application architecture, drive best practices, and help evolve our mobile development strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design, develop, test, document, and maintain high‑quality mobile apps using Flutter & Dart
* Contribute to application architecture, design decisions, and implementation planning
* Build data‑driven applications integrating with RESTful backend services
* Implement secure‑by‑design and cybersecurity best practices
* Create responsive, performant, and accessible UIs
* Work with cross‑functional teams to define requirements and technical solutions
* Participate in architecture, design, and code reviews
* Ensure timely delivery of software and documentation
* Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and automated build/test/deploy workflows
* Support secure development lifecycle activities and dependency management
* Suggest improvements to tooling, frameworks, and engineering practices
* Write clean, maintainable, testable code
* Work effectively in multi‑threaded and asynchronous environments
* Mentor junior engineers and promote engineering excellence
* Operate within Agile/Scrum processes
* Uphold company values and ethical standards
Required Qualifications:
* 8+ years of software development experience
* 3+ years advanced Flutter/Dart development
* 4+ years building data‑driven mobile applications
* Expert in Dart + strong experience in Swift, Kotlin, Java, or Objective‑C
* Strong understanding of mobile architecture & state management
* Experience building network layers using RESTful APIs
* Solid grasp of OOP, data structures, algorithms, and complexity analysis
* Proficient with Git, Azure DevOps and/or GitHub
* Experience with CI/CD for mobile development
* Self‑motivated, proactive, and able to work independently
* Strong communication and collaboration skills, including distributed teams
Desirable:
* Experience with Bluetooth/BLE integrations
* Medical device or regulated environment experience
* Experience with ISO 13485 or similar QMS
* Knowledge of IEC 62304, ISO 13485, or other relevant standards
