Overview
The Junior Broker is responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with new and existing reinsurance clients. This role involves developing strategies and goals for account management, understanding client needs, and delivering tailored reinsurance solutions. The position requires a deep understanding of risks and the reinsurance market to identify and arrange optimal coverage and policies. The Junior Broker acts in the best interest of clients, offering products from multiple reinsurers to secure the best solutions. How you'll make an impact Build and maintain relationships with new and existing reinsurance clients. Develop strategies and goals for the growth and management of client accounts. Understand clients' businesses and reinsurance needs to provide tailored solutions. Apply knowledge of risks and the reinsurance market to arrange suitable coverage and policies. Act in the interest of clients by offering products from multiple reinsurers to secure optimal solutions. Identify revenue opportunities among new and existing clients by creating demand and awareness of the organization's products. Achieve revenue targets through client retention and acquisition of new business. Work independently with general supervision to achieve operational targets within the sub-function, directly impacting department results. Handle moderately complex or technical projects and assignments independently. Set objectives for own job area to meet project and assignment goals. Train new team members as needed. Recommend enhancements to systems and processes to solve problems or improve effectiveness. Solve general problems and issues by drawing from prior experiences and analysing the situation. About You Education: Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience. Experience: Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in reinsurance or a related field. Skills and Proficiencies: Ability to work independently with general supervision. Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to address function-related issues that are difficult but not overly complex. Knowledge of basic concepts and procedures within the reinsurance field. Ability to influence others within the function through explanation of facts, policies, and practices. Capability to adjust or recommend process enhancements to improve effectiveness.
