Job Title: Health and Social Care Teacher

Salary: £150 – £185 per day (depending on experience)

Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long Term, Full-time / Part-time

GSL Education are seeking a committed Health and Social Care Teacher to work in schools across Tower Hamlets, delivering high-quality teaching and supporting students to achieve academic and vocational success.
About the Role:
As a Health and Social Care Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and well-structured lessons aligned with the curriculum, supporting learners to develop both subject knowledge and practical understanding. You will play a key role in preparing students for further education, training, or employment within health and social care pathways.
Key Responsibilities:
* Plan and deliver engaging Health and Social Care lessons across relevant key stages
* Teach vocational and academic content in line with exam board specifications
* Assess, monitor, and track student progress, providing constructive feedback
* Support students with varying abilities, adapting teaching strategies where required
* Contribute to a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment
* Work collaboratively with departmental staff and wider school teams
* Uphold safeguarding, behaviour, and school policies at all times
Requirements:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification in Health and Social Care
* Experience teaching Health and Social Care in a secondary school or college setting
* Strong subject knowledge and understanding of curriculum requirements
* Confident classroom management and effective communication skills
* Flexible, reliable, and able to adapt to different school environments
* A genuine commitment to supporting student achievement and wellbeing
* An enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one with GSL Education
