The Role
Are you a dedicated and enthusiastic Commis Chef looking to expand your professional kitchen experience? If so, we'd love to hear from you!
The successful candidate will have experience in a professional kitchen handling fresh foods and be accustomed to maintaining high standards of productivity, food safety, and hygiene during service.
This is a full-time position (37.5 hours/week), working 5 days out of 7, including weekends and bank holidays.
What You'll Be Doing
1. Preparing and cooking all dishes according to specified recipes in the Lodge and other catered areas within the Cathedral precincts.
2. Liaising with the catering team to ensure meals are presented to set standards and served promptly, ensuring smooth service flow.
3. Adhering to food hygiene and HACCP procedures to meet current legislation, ensuring high hygiene standards during inspections.
4. Assisting with maintaining records, checking, and labelling all foodstuffs, ovens, and refrigerators. Please see the full job description for further details.
