Job Description:
Our principal consultant Robin Thomas is urgently seeking 2-3 permanent Control Systems Engineers, ideally with experience in Allen Bradley technologies and/or GE Cimplicity. Our client is a full turnkey solutions provider, delivering complex Control Systems for Process Control, Automation, and Telemetry to customers worldwide for over 30 years.
As a Control Systems Project Engineer, you will be responsible for the full lifecycle delivery of projects, ensuring technical compliance and quality. Responsibilities include attending client meetings to discuss design, conducting surveys, programming, configuration, testing, and commissioning. Ideal candidates will have experience in a similar environment.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
* Writing detailed functional design specifications
* Configuring system architecture and network connections
* Producing, modifying, testing, and commissioning SCADA & PLC software
* UK site commissioning (may involve short periods away from home)
* For lead positions, managing and motivating a team of engineers to optimize output
Skills & Experience
Required
* Software Engineering Degree and/or Electrical qualifications
* Good verbal and written communication skills
* Minimum of 2 years' control system experience
* Experience in PLC programming of Rockwell, Siemens, or Mitsubishi PLCs
* Experience in SCADA development with Wonderware System Platform, Rockwell FTViewSE, WinCC, ClearSCADA, or Iconics
* Clean UK Driving License
* Eligibility to work in the UK
* Tender/Quote experience and commercial understanding
* 17th or 18th Edition wiring Regulations (City & Guilds)
* Panel design, manufacturing, or electrical installation experience (using CAD or ePLAN)
