The Role and Your Responsibilities:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Delegate Sales Manager to lead our Delegate Sales team. As a Delegate Sales Manager, you will be responsible for managing the team, overseeing the entire sales cycle, and ensuring our events are attended by key decision-makers and industry leaders.
Team Leadership and Management:
* Lead, mentor, and motivate the delegate sales team to achieve individual and team sales targets.
* Conduct regular performance reviews, provide constructive feedback, and implement training programs to enhance team capabilities.
* Foster a collaborative and high-performance sales culture.
Sales Strategy and Execution:
* Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve delegate sales targets for various events and conferences.
* Identify and pursue new business opportunities through proactive outreach, networking, and research.
* Oversee the generation and qualification of leads through multiple channels, including cold calling, email campaigns, social media, and industry events.
* Conduct thorough needs analysis to understand client requirements and tailor sales pitches accordingly.
* Manage the sales pipeline and ensure timely follow-up with prospects to convert leads into confirmed delegates.
Client Relationship Management:
* Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their business needs and providing exceptional customer service.
* Act as the primary point of contact for high-value delegates, addressing any inquiries or concerns promptly and professionally.
Market Research and Analysis:
* Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions to identify new sales opportunities.
* Analyse sales data and performance metrics to refine sales strategies and improve overall effectiveness.
The Ideal Delegate Manager:
We're looking for someone who is ready for the next step in their leadership career or is eager to transition into B2B sales leadership. The ideal candidate possesses:
* Good business acumen and the ability to quickly digest complex market knowledge.
* Drive and purposefulness, coupled with ambition to build a successful career in sales leadership.
* Intelligence, sharpness, and logical thinking, ideally with some previous commercial experience.
* Tenacity, articulation, and confidence in engaging at the director level.
* Professionalism, eagerness, and openness to learn our unique sales process.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
* A team player who thrives in collaborative environments towards shared goals.
