Sutton DASS is Sutton’s domestic abuse service that champions a partnership of local organisations, each with unique skills and experience in domestic abuse. Our partnership allows us to deliver the highest level of support possible for the Sutton community and its families affected by domestic abuse.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Independent Domestic Violence Adviser (IDVA) role within the Sutton DASS team.
The role of the IDVA is to work with victims and survivors of domestic abuse to review risk, develop safety plans and improve outcomes ensuring the victim’s voice is considered through advocacy.
You will work alongside existing agencies to design a co-ordinated, intervention plan, addressing identified needs and risks, and promoting understanding of the impact of abusive behaviours.
You will be passionate and committed to working within a multi-disciplinary team and will have will have a demonstrable track record of working with complex need service users to support people to live healthy safe and happy lives. IDVA training is an essential requirement, but we will consider each applicants experience and provide training dependant on this.
