Hours and Term
27.50 hours per week, 39 weeks per year, fixed term until 13 April 2026

Responsibilities
We are keen to employ a diverse workforce that reflects the people of Scotland. Under the teachers direction the post holder will support teaching and learning, work within the classroom to support pupil learning, organise resources, and carry out duties relating to pupil pastoral support. The post holder will carry out duties relating to pupil pastoral care, attendance, and demonstrate good relations with pupils, parents, and agencies.
Qualifications and Development
The post holder will have the ability to work towards and gain a relevant qualification at SCQF Level 6 or equivalent within 5 years of commencing employment in the role of PSW.
Regulated Work and PVG
This post is considered Regulated Work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scotland Act 2007. From 28 February 2011 preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment.
