Join our Living Places team as a Programme Delivery Manager on our East Sussex Framework where you'll deliver complex work that really matters to our business, and the world around you. To provide strategic operational management, strong leadership and control of a multi-disciplinary highways team comprising design, engineering, project management, programming and supervisory resources at all levels and facilitation of strong links with other teams within and external to the project. What you'll be doing As a Programme Delivery Manager you will: Have overall management of the Design & Construction resources and Programme team, to manage the end- to-end process of all capital and minor works project delivery across East Sussex, ensuring delivery to time and budget, and achieving all SPI targets Carry out periodic Safety and Environmental Tours as required by the Project Construction Phase Plan Lead periodic risk reviews and takes output forward to the Project Risk Register Ensure that sufficient resources are allocated to the project and that each has an appropriate level of ability. Identify longer term strategic training to support individual development as required Sets targets and SPIs in line with Project objectives and monitors performance. Ensures site audits are undertaken and takes appropriate action on the findings. Who we're looking for You will have the following: Experience of managing Highways projects Experience of managing the end-to-end process of delivering large capital works projects. Experience of operating in a client facing role at SMT level. Holds a current driving license and CSCS Card. Must be SMSTS qualified. Good working knowledge of current H & S legislation Experienced in resource allocation and up skilling Experience in the management of a wide range of construction operations, design and programme management Working knowledge of the NEC and other relevant forms of contract.
