Role & Responsibilities of the Project Quantity Surveyor:
· Pre-Construction
o Undertaking feasibility studies
o Performing risk and value management assessments
o Compiling tender enquiries
o Procurement
o Cost planning
o Tender analysis
o Negotiating tenders and contracts
· Construction
o Contract drafting
o Contract Administration
o Change management, assessment and instruction.
o Application and payments
o Final account negotiation
o Report writing
· Other Activities
o Fund monitoring
o Reinstatement valuations
o Chairing meetings
Skills & Experience of the Project Quantity Surveyor:
* This role is open to assistant quantity surveyors looking for the next step up, intermediate surveyors and/or project surveyors
* Strong communication and presentation skills (written and verbal)
* Personable nature
* A desire to learn and the ability to learn quickly
* A reasonable understanding of construction methodologies and techniques
* The ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
* Good knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
* Preferably degree (or equivalent) educated (not necessarily in quantity surveying)
* A full clean driving licence and own vehicle
Salary & Benefits:
* £40K - £65K (doe)
