Job Title: English Teacher for Students with Special Educational Needs
We are seeking a passionate and resilient English Teacher to join our dedicated team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified teacher who can deliver engaging and differentiated English lessons to students with special educational needs.
About the Role:
1. Plan and deliver creative, accessible lessons aligned with the English curriculum up to GCSE.
2. Adapt teaching strategies to support students with diverse needs, including those with EHCPs, SEMH, ASD, and other barriers to learning.
3. Promote a love of reading, writing, and communication while building strong, trusting relationships with students.
4. Collaborate with support staff, SENCOs, and pastoral teams to create a safe, inclusive, and structured classroom environment.
5. Hold a qualified teacher status (QTS) and experience teaching English up to GCSE.
6. Demonstrate strong classroom management skills and a calm, empathetic approach.
7. Experience working with students with SEN and/or behavioral challenges.
8. Share a belief in high expectations, second chances, and personalized learning.

Pay rates will include 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This position is initially temporary, with potential for permanency in the future.
