Band 4 Dietetic Health Care Support Worker – Adult Weight Management Service
Base: City Hospital/Aberdeen Health Village, Aberdeen
Hours: 37 hours (full time or part time hours will be considered)
We are looking to recruit a dietetic health care support worker with excellent communication, organisational and IT skills and a passion for working with people to make changes to their diet and lifestyle, to join our NHS Grampian Adult Weight Management Team.
The Adult Weight Management (AWM) Team consists of specialist Dietitians, Psychologists and Admin support colleagues who provide weight management interventions for patients living across Grampian.
This post will provide patient group education sessions to support the delivery of Tier 2 AWM interventions, delivered via digital platforms such as Nearme groups and in person or one to one with patients when required. This post will also support the AWM team with processing referrals coming into the service and data collection from the groups.
We currently have 6 other HCSW in the department as well as others across NHSG and have good systems in place for joint continuous professional development and peer support.
You must be a car driver and hold a full driving licence.
You will be required to work 5 of 7 days which may include weekend working as required.

Responsibilities
* Provide patient group education sessions to support the delivery of Tier 2 AWM interventions (via digital platforms and in person/one-to-one as required).

* Collaborate with the AWM team and colleagues across NHSG; participate in joint CPD and peer support.
* Meet the staffing and travel requirements (car driver with full driving licence) as specified.
* Be flexible to work 5 of 7 days, which may include weekend working as required.
