Duties & Responsibilities: LEADERSHIP & TEAM DEVELOPMENT: You’ll be the captain of the crew—hiring, training, and coaching a top-notch team that lives and breathes our “How We Roll” mindset. Recruit, onboard, and coach team members to become hospitality rockstars Lead with heart, setting expectations and conducting regular check-ins and reviews Manage scheduling to meet labor targets and business needs Drive accountability while celebrating wins and creating a space where people thrive Be a brand ambassador—living the Crooked Hammock values every day OPERATIONS: From food to flow to first impressions, you’ll oversee daily operations to ensure guests leave happy—and keep coming back. Keep the ship tight: uphold SOPs, food quality, cleanliness, and service standards Create systems and improvements that boost efficiency and guest satisfaction Own the guest experience: build regulars, touch tables, and resolve issues fast Enforce safety, sanitation, and ServSafe standards Ensure the location shines inside and out—this is your house! FINANCIALS: Yep, you’ll need to know your numbers. As GM, you’ll lead with a business-first mindset while keeping the magic alive. Collaborate on budgets and forecasts Analyze variances and take action to drive performance Manage purchasing and labor to meet COGS and profit goals Keep financial and HR records clean, timely, and accurate MARKETING & COMMUNITY: We don’t just make beer—we create experiences. You’ll help market the brand locally and build strong community connections. Partner with the brand and marketing team to bring campaigns to life on-site Lead local engagement, events, and partnerships that get the neighborhood buzzing Inspire the team to be involved and invested in our community presence Qualifications: 5 years in restaurant or brewpub leadership Bachelor’s degree in hospitality or a related field preferred Passion for people, service, and building culture Proven track record in operations, labor management, and financials Excellent communication, coaching, and organizational skills Strong understanding of hospitality systems and safety practices ServSafe certified (or able to obtain) Must be flexible, professional, and ready to lead nights/weekends Able to lift up to 55 lbs and move up to 170 lbs (it’s a brewery, after all!) Proficiency in basic computer applications, word processing, spreadsheet, Google Docs, internet, POS; Frequently walk and occasionally bend over, twist, kneel, climb, stoop and crouch. This position requires the ability to lift up to 55 pounds and maneuver 170 pounds. Compensation: This position starts at $75,000/year with benefits and awesome employee perks.
