Duties:
* Lead and manage an aftersales team comprising 6–7 Vehicle Technicians, 3 Service Advisors, and 2 Workshop Controllers
* Oversee day‑to‑day operations of the service department ensuring maximum efficiency and customer satisfaction
* Drive workshop productivity and optimise the utilisation of workshop facilities
* Maintain high standards of service quality in line with manufacturer guidelines and company policies
* Ensure effective communication between team members and other departments
* Manage workshop workflow, labour sales, and profitability
* Support colleagues through coaching and development initiatives
* Uphold departmental compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards
Requirements for the Service Manager position:
* Proven recent experience as a Service or Aftersales Manager within a medium to large franchise‑approved dealership
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and support a team
* Excellent organisational and time‑management skills
* IT literacy with the ability to use dealership management systems effectively
* Full UK driving licence with minimal points
* Ability to work under pressure and independently, with a proactive approach to problem‑solving
* A commitment to delivering excellent customer service and continuously improving departmental performance
