To control and co-ordinate all aspects of manufacturing operations within the Cardiff Juice manufacturing business, ensuring optimum efficiency and continued development of the business. You will create an environment to develop the manufacturing management team and systems to enable the business to continually deliver an improved performance against its business objectives.
Principal Responsibilities
1. Manage, control, and motivate the Site’s manufacturing departments to achieve planned volume and output targets at the agreed quality levels
2. Achieve and maintain efficiency and productivity targets for the site
3. Implement and maintain an effective communications process across all areas of manufacturing and all key personnel
4. Successfully manage the interface with the Site Engineering Manager/Site Planning & Logistics Manager ensuring that a one team approach is adopted by all
5. Monitor customer and production demands to ensure products are available for sale at the right time, cost, and quality
6. Manage stocks to ensure finished goods levels are optimised thus avoiding stock right-offs with strict control of working capital
7. Identify and develop new production methods and systems to improve the efficiency of the production of Ambient and Chilled Juice
8. Control and monitor all budget areas to ensure targets are achieved without compromising efficiency. (Labour/Waste as examples).
9. Organise training activities to meet individual needs and the changing needs of the production environment and evaluate the outcomes.
10. Create an environment to develop and mentor the leaders within your organisation and act as a role model for those outside.
11. Monitor the quality of finished goods ensuring the highest standards are achieved in accordance with quality standards, customer specifications, and procedures
12. Manage personnel consistently in accordance with HR policy and procedures to maximise job performance
13. Ensure all working practices are in accordance with Safety, Health & Environmental legislation, and best practice and that KPI reports reflect a continued reduction in reportable incidents across manufacturing
14. Drive and lead FMS at level 2
15. Support and lead OPEX initiatives and cultures
16. All employees should carry out their duties in a responsible manner giving due consideration to Safety, Environmental & Quality procedures
17. Contribute to the health & safety of self and others by applying health and safety principles to the required standards whilst undertaking designated tasks
18. To maintain product Food Safety, Legality, Integrity, Authenticity and Quality standards by ensuring all associated policies and procedures are adhered to.
