Overview
My client is a leading supplier of steel frames for industrial, commercial and residential buildings across the UK. Due to continued demand, they are looking for a skilled Fabricator/ Welder to join their team in Edinburgh. You will be working on a variety of fabrication projects, producing high-quality metal components and structures to specification.
The Details:
* Hours: 50 hours per week, 6 days over 7 (Monday–Saturday)
* Shifts: dayshift
* Location: Edinburgh
* Contractual rate: £14.00–£16.50 per hour, depending on experience.
* Contract: Permanent
Key responsibilities include:
* Perform MIG welding
* Fabricate components according to specifications and drawings
* Operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
* Conduct assembly tasks to ensure product integrity
* Inspect finished products for quality assurance
* Maintaining a high standard of workmanship and safety
* Collaborate with team members to meet production goals
About You:
* Proven experience as a fabricator/ welder, minimum 3 years
* Competent in MIG welding
* Able to read and interpret fabrication drawings
* Good attention to detail and pride in your work
* Reliable, punctual, and hardworking
* Health & safety conscious
