Workshop Controller required for a successful Automotive retailer in the Portsmouth area.
Our client is seeking a Workshop Controller to join their busy service department and it is essential that you have a previous working experience within a busy Automotive Workshop.

Duties:
* Overseeing the daily workshop operations to ensure outstanding service delivery
* Assigning jobs to vehicle technicians and managing workflow efficiency
* Conducting quality control audits and ensuring compliance with health and safety standards
* Liaising with colleagues across departments to ensure seamless customer service
* Estimating costs and timelines for repairs and servicing work
* Providing technical support and mentoring to technicians and apprentices
* Ensuring all work adheres to manufacturer standards, DVSA, and company policies
* Monitoring parts ordering and inventory to support workshop efficiency
* Upholding the dealership’s high standards of quality and customer satisfaction
Requirements:
* Relevant City & Guilds, BTEC or NVQ accreditation or equivalent
* Proven experience in automotive workshop control or Service Advisor wanting to move into a workshop role
* Strong organisation and leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team
* Proficient IT skills and a good eye for detail
* Excellent communication skills, both face-to-face and via email
* Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities under pressure
* Knowledge of DVSA regulations, health and safety standards, and manufacturer policies
The Salary being offered up to £40,000 with OTE £48,000.
