Job Overview
Shezlin Construction and Joinery Ltd. is looking for experienced and reliable Carpenters and Joiners to join our growing team. This role focuses on the fabrication, installation, and repair of high-quality woodwork, with a strong emphasis on kitchen cabinets, custom joinery, and interior fittings. The ideal candidate will bring proven craftsmanship, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities
* Measure, cut, shape, and assemble wood and other materials according to drawings and specifications.
* Install kitchen cabinets, worktops, doors, and bespoke joinery with a high standard of finish.
* Interpret and follow technical drawings, blueprints, and design plans accurately.
* Repair, restore, and maintain wooden structures, fixtures, and furniture.
* Safely operate woodworking machinery, power tools, and hand tools.
* Work collaboratively with designers, architects, and other trades to deliver tailored solutions.
* Ensure all work complies with building codes, health & safety requirements, and quality standards.
* Handle, lift, and transport materials safely while keeping the workspace clean and organized.
Skills & Qualifications
* Proven experience as a Carpenter or Joiner (experience in kitchen/joinery installations preferred).
* Strong knowledge of woodworking methods, tools, and machinery.
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
* High level of accuracy and attention to detail in workmanship.
* Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under minimal supervision.
* Good teamwork and communication skills.
* Physical fitness and stamina for hands-on, manual work.
* Relevant trade qualifications or certifications are an advantage but not essential.
