The Role
We're on the hunt for a commercially savvy, technically strong Head of Finance who's ready to roll up their sleeves and get under the skin of the business. Reporting to the CFO, you'll work side-by-side with our senior leaders to drive growth, spot opportunities, and bring financial insights to life.
While you'll contribute to core finance processes like month-end and forecasting, your real mission is to influence decisions, challenge assumptions, and become a true strategic partner across the business.
What You'll Do
* Lead the month-end close process and deliver timely, accurate financial reporting.
* Own budgeting and forecasting cycles, working closely with leaders to drive performance.
* Influence decision-making through sharp commercial insight and financial storytelling.
* Build financial models, run scenario planning, and provide ad hoc analysis for business initiatives.
* Develop and lead a small team, cultivating a high-performance, improvement-focused culture.
* Enhance financial controls and support continuous process optimisation.
* Support statutory reporting, audits, and compliance requirements.
* Embed finance into the fabric of the business, collaborating cross-functionally every step of the way.
What You Bring
* ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified, with solid technical accounting skills.
* Proven experience in a Finance Business Partner role - bonus points if you've worked in e-commerce or a consumer brand.
* A confident communicator and relationship-builder who can influence at all levels.
* Analytical mindset with a laser focus on detail - you don't just report numbers, you make them tell a story.
* Proactive and adaptable - you thrive in a fast-paced, ever-evolving environment.
Working Pattern
We believe the best ideas happen when we're together, so this is a hybrid role, requiring a minimum of 3 days per week in our Birmingham office. This helps us maintain strong cross-functional relationships and a vibrant team culture.
