Location: Initial deployment to Ash Croft Primary Academy
Hours: 35 Hours per week, 39 weeks per year (term time plus 5 days)
Contract type: Permanent

Development Opportunity
The Board of Trustees wish to provide an opportunity for an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant. We are looking for a highly motivated candidate to become part of our school team. The post holder will be initially based at Ash Croft Primary Academy.
The successful candidate will have:
• NVQ 3 for Teaching Assistants or equivalent qualification or experience or willingness to work towards
• Level 3 EYFS qualification
• Literacy and Numeracy skills equivalent to Level 2 of the National Qualification & Credit Framework
• Completion of Department for Education Teacher Assistant Induction Programme (or to complete within first term)
• Awareness of the requirements of children with special needs
• Experience of working with learning resources and helping with their preparation to support learning programmes
• Experience of working with or caring for children of a relevant age to those in the school (including 2-year-old provision)
• Communication skills to liaise sensitively and effectively with parents and carers
• Basic understanding of a child’s development and learning.
