Children's Speech and Language Therapist

Job Summary
We are looking for a Children's Speech and Language Therapist who wishes to develop skills in working with a wide range of speech, language and communication needs (SLCN) in clinics, nursery/school settings and home environments. A full UK driving licence is required.
Responsibilities
* Assess, diagnose, design, and deliver appropriate packages of care for children with SLCN.
* Work collaboratively with parents, education staff and other professionals to create coordinated support plans.
* Assist in the identification and management of children with SLCN as part of the integrated team and advise Speech and Language Therapy Assistants.
* Provide coaching and training to staff and parents.
* Shadowing and CPD development opportunities are provided.
Essential Criteria
* Recognised Speech and Language Therapist (SLT) degree and HCPC registration (or pending registration).
* Experience of assessment, management and delivery of SLCN interventions across settings.
* Full UK driving licence with vehicle for business use.
* Ability to travel between sites.
Desirable Criteria
* NQ communication competencies completed.
* Experience in multi‑disciplinary team working and training others.
* Post‑basic dysphagia training or relevant CPD portfolio.
Knowledge, Skills and Values
* Theoretical knowledge of SLT delivery and multi‑disciplinary working.
* Knowledge of national policies and procedures relevant to the target group.
* Empathetic, excellent written and oral communication, well‑organised, good reasoning, team builder.

Contract Details
* Fixed term, 13 months, Band 5
* Full time, salary £32,073 to £39,043 per annum (pro‑rated for part time).
* Full UK driving licence and vehicle for business use required.
