Job Description
REE is revolutionizing e-Mobility from the ground-up. Our disruptive REE-corners and fully flat, ultra-modular EV platforms are set to become the standard for electric vehicles. Providing complete design freedom to build mission-specific EVs, EVs ‘Powered by REE’ will offer maximum room for passengers, cargo, and batteries with the smallest footprint, helping to reduce carbon emissions for a greener world.
We are currently looking for an experienced and well-rounded Project Engineer (contract for 3 months) to support REE’s rapid growth.
Responsibilities
* Manage and deliver REE braking system components that meet program-specific targets including performance, quality, cost, and timing.
* Monitor technical targets for integrating design, development, legal, and performance criteria.
* Maintain and update brake system component BOMs in PLM and manage related release activities.
* Manage DVP&R for owned braking components.
* Act as a technical interface to component suppliers and surrounding system owners.
* Support build activities and define production manufacturing processes.
* Assist with braking system DFMEA and provide input into mechanical DVP requirements and test rig procedures.
* Support other teams to meet release deadlines and identify opportunities to reduce complexity, cost, and weight.
Qualifications
* Degree in Engineering, Science, or a related discipline.
* Experience in a complex engineering environment, preferably in automotive or commercial vehicles.
* Proven experience in developing and delivering chassis system components from concept to production, including foundation brakes, electric park brakes, pipes, and hoses.
* Knowledge of manufacturing and assembly requirements.
* Understanding of rig validation and vehicle structural testing is advantageous.
* Broad engineering knowledge including material selection, tolerancing, FEA, manufacturing processes, and quality controls.
* Familiarity with project planning, DFMEA, RCA, DFA, DFM, and PPAP.
* Experience with brake systems is desirable but not mandatory.
* Ability to manage workload in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office, SharePoint, Excel, and Word.
* Team player with excellent collaboration skills.
