HCB Widdows Mason is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Legal Assistant to join our Education team. This role provides an excellent opportunity to assist clients with educational legal matters, including special educational needs (SEN) and related disputes. Full training will be provided for the right candidate. Key responsibilities include: Managing client enquiries and providing timely updates regarding their cases. Opening and closing files in line with firm policies and regulatory standards. Conducting legal research pertinent to education law and policies. Drafting legal documents, correspondence, and supporting materials. Assisting solicitors in case preparation for hearings and appeals. Maintaining accurate records within the case management system. Performing general administrative duties, including scheduling and reception cover when necessary. Requirements Strong organisational and time management skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality. An interest or experience in education law is advantageous.
