Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide essential care and assistance to individuals in need, including those with dementia, children, and patients in assisted living environments. This role is vital in enhancing the quality of life for our clients through personal support and companionship.
Duties
* Provide personal care to clients, including assistance with bathing, dressing, and grooming.
* Support individuals with dementia by engaging them in meaningful activities and providing companionship.
* Assist with meal preparation, ensuring dietary needs are met and meals are nutritious.
* Help clients with mobility and heavy lifting when necessary, ensuring their safety at all times.
* Drive clients to appointments or social activities as required.
* Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, including tidying living areas and assisting with household tasks.
* Document care provided and report any changes in client condition to relevant healthcare professionals.
Skills
* Experience or training in dementia care is highly desirable.
* Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and effectively.
* Previous experience in childcare or patient care is an advantage.
* Strong interpersonal skills with a caring attitude towards clients.
* Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage time effectively.
* A valid driving licence is preferred for transporting clients as needed.
* Understanding of assisted living principles and practices is beneficial.
