NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles. The shift pattern for this position is Monday - Friday.
(Please note the salary is Pro Rata) for part time hours.
The Glasgow & Clyde Anticoagulation Service provides comprehensive assessment and treatment of patients who are taking Warfarin therapy. At present this numbers approx 5000 patients. Clinics are provided in a range of hospital and community settings throughout the Greater Glasgow and Clyde, as well as a domiciliary service to housebound patients. Specifically the post-holder has a key role in providing clerical support in a fast paced busy environment which includes - the management of appointing patients on to the DAWN AC system, sending out appointments, did not attend letters, arranging clinic lists, answering telephone enquiries and managing internal referrals from Trakcare all within required timescales. Ensuring that nursing staff are continuously kept informed of any urgent problems. The clerical staff also ensure that all clinic documentation is available including new patient referral information, which will require liaison with hospital wards.
* Provide a high quality clerical support and able to work as part of a team to ensure efficiency of anticoagulation service.
* Able to cope with the high volume of telephone calls in a polite efficient manner.
* Responsible for printing off reports from DAWN AC system as required.
* Relaying information to referrers, both internal and external.
* Responsible for ensuring adequate stationery stock and computer supplies available in work area.
* Provide support/ongoing training to any new and recent post holders while continuing with own duties.
* Assisting in the development of working procedures.
* Access CHI/TrakCare, SCI Gateway and clinical portal to facilitate the internal referral system and ensure that all patient details are correct
* Provide a comprehensive administrative and clerical cover which encompasses all aspects of the Glasgow and Clyde Anticoagulation Service.
Ensure all filing and scanning is managed in a timely and efficient manner.
