What the Job Involves This position involves inspecting highways assets to ensure they are safe for public use, issuing work orders to rectify defects, and monitoring completed work. Responsibilities include both regular and ad hoc inspections, logging defects, assisting in program implementation, and managing emergencies. You will liaise with contractors, utility companies, and the public, prepare reports, attend court for claims, and ensure compliance with health and safety legislation.
