Job Description
Sharp Consultancy are working with a well-known manufacturer based in Barnsley to appoint a Finance Manager on a permanent basis. This role will act as number one on site for Finance reporting into an operationally focussed Managing Director and overseeing a small team.
Reporting into senior leadership, the position plays a key role in delivering high quality management information, driving commercial insight and strengthening financial control across the business. With responsibility spanning costing, profitability analysis, ERP ownership and foreign exchange exposure, this role suits a hands on finance professional who enjoys improving processes, leading core finance cycles and partnering with operational teams.

Duties and Responsibilities
* Production of monthly management accounts at group level for multiple business entities including commentary and variance analysis
* Maintenance of the costing systems used across the wider group
* Provide day to day support for wider finance team - performing appraisals as required
* Analysis of labour efficiencies including monitoring of overhead absorption
* Completion of customer and product profitability analysis
* Leading annual budgeting, forecasting and cash flow processes
* Responsibility for the update and maintenance of ERP systems - including setting up new services and General Ledger codes
* Ownership of Foreign Exposure and hedging processes
* Continuous review of internal processes and controls - streamlining and automating as required
* Production of consolidated financial statements across the group and preparing the necessary audit compliance paperwork
