Job Details
Position: Laboratory Technician
Location: Bridgwater
Contract: Fixed term for 6 months
Shift pattern: 4 on 4 off (2 days 7am-7pm, 2 nights 7pm-7am, then off)
Salary: £32,475.46 / £15.51 per hour
We are recruiting a Laboratory Technician to join our Bridgwater Dairy within Mller Milk & Ingredients. The successful candidate will ensure quality performance through analysis, testing, and continuous improvement aligned with Mller values.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide expertise through quality testing and data evaluation
* Drive continuous improvement in quality performance
* Participate in troubleshooting via data analysis
* Contribute to building QMS capabilities on site
* Manage laboratory tasks and systems (e.g., 5S)
* Support quality control operations
* Understand and participate in PMS
* Own and report on Quality Index and monthly reports
* Manage internal and external audits
* Work effectively within a team
Candidate Requirements
* HACCP Awareness (Level 2-3)
* Basic Food Hygiene, Microbiology, and Aseptic Techniques
* Experience with Internal Audits
* Yellow and Green Belt Problem Solving
* A3 Problem Solving
* Electronic Data Capture
* Dairy Science knowledge
