A Vacancy at East Suffolk and North Essex NHS Foundation Trust. An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Suffolk Stroke Early Supported Discharge Team for the role of Specialist Physiotherapist (Band 6) to join our team in the East of the County.
Responsibilities
* Work within a stroke interdisciplinary early supported discharge team to provide high‑quality specialist rehabilitation to patients following a stroke in their own home or community, enabling optimal independence.
* Collaborate across the Suffolk Stroke Pathway to ensure a seamless provision of stroke services from the acute hospital into the Early Supported Discharge Team.
* Carry out assessments, implementation, and evaluation of evidence‑based specialist treatment programmes for patients following a stroke, with a range of impairments and complex health needs, autonomously.
* Supervise and support junior staff and students.
* Contribute to service development and data collection within Suffolk Integrated Stroke Services.

Job Details
Band 6 Specialist Physiotherapist, 0.8 WTE (30 hours per week). Fixed pattern: Monday – Friday, 09:00 – 17:00, with one weekend shift every 5 to 6 weeks according to the service weekend rota. Official base of work is at Allington Clinic, Ipswich. Access to both the Bury St Edmunds and Ipswich offices, with expectation to travel across the whole of Suffolk. You will be provided with regular supervision and a structured training programme to develop knowledge and skills in specialist stroke rehabilitation.
