Job Summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our nursing team at the Rutson. The Rutson Rehabilitation unit has 17 beds and is situated within the Friarage Hospital, Northallerton. The multidisciplinary team provides care and rehabilitation for patients who have suffered a stroke and other medical conditions requiring hospital-based recovery.
Applicants do not need previous experience in this area, but it would be advantageous. You should demonstrate an interest in delivering quality, compassionate, and individualized care to patients. We will support you with supervision, training, and learning opportunities.
In return, you need to be flexible, adaptable, and a good communicator, with excellent time management and IT skills. We are an enthusiastic, friendly, and caring team looking forward to working with you.
Main Duties of the Job
1. The post holder will be an active member of the multidisciplinary team, undertaking personal care activities and delegated clinical duties, including clinical observations, within clearly defined parameters, to provide individualized healthcare and support.
2. The post holder will maintain accurate records of care provided and escalate concerns to registered professionals.
3. They have a personal responsibility to adhere to Trust policies, promote dignity, privacy, and respect, and deliver safe, high-quality, compassionate care.
4. As a Trust employee, they must be reliable, trustworthy, uphold Trust values, and display civility towards others.

Person Specification
Qualifications (Band 3) - Essential
* Numeracy and Literacy Level 2 or equivalent qualifications (e.g., GCSE A-C/4-9, O Level, GCE A-C, CSE Grade 1, or NARIC/ENIC comparison)
* Care certificate
* Level 3 vocational qualification or equivalent experience in clinical care duties, including competency workbook completion
Knowledge and Skills (Both) - Essential
* Understanding of effective team work and caregiving behaviors
* Knowledge of GDPR and confidentiality requirements
Desirable
* Familiarity with NHS and social care policies
* Knowledge of STHFT policies and procedures
