Our Senior Carers will be allocated a defined geographical area, which may include: Barnard Castle Durham Consett Stanley Chester-le-Street Sunderland This is a hands-on leadership role, combining direct care delivery with additional responsibilities supporting care coordination, quality assurance, risk management and Reablement support. Essential Requirement: Previous experience in domiciliary care and/or reablement care is essential. Care Based Responsibilities include: Care Delivery Promote independence and support Service Users within their own homes. Encourage active participation in all aspects of daily living. Assist with personal care, meal preparation, and nutritional support. Support Service Users to attend appointments and access their local community. Maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable home environment. Quality & Compliance Conduct spot checks and monitor care delivery standards. Ensure visit compliance and accurate recording of care activities. Complete and audit documentation, including care records and logged events. Operational Support Provide support to Care Coordinators, including covering unplanned absences and annual leave. Assist with risk assessments and contribute to care planning processes. Act as a role model for care staff, promoting best practice and company values. Monitor Care Goals & Outcomes Monitor care delivery, person centred goals and support required in line with care plan expectations Liase with Social Services and care professionals on the care needs of the Service User. Provide face-to-face support to those within their own homes with practical and support tasks. Rotating Shift Pattern Our Senior Carers work a predictable and balanced four-week rota, designed to promote continuity of care while supporting a healthy work-life balance. Weeks 1: Early Shifts — 06:30 to 18:30 - Mon, Tue, Sat, Sun Weeks 2: Early Shifts — 06:30 to 18:30 - Wed, Thurs, Friday Weeks 3 : Late Shifts — 10:30 to 22:30 - Mon, Tue, Sat, Sun Weeks 4 : Late Shifts — 10:30 to 22:30 - Wed, Thurs, Friday Pattern: 4 days on / 3 days off (rotating) Average: 42 hours per week This structured rota allows for consistent planning, fair rotation, and adequate rest between working weeks, ensuring stability for both staff and residents. to qualify for the role you must be willing to work the expected shifts within your designated team. This position sits at a natural progression point from care and support within the community to more management responsibilities and administrative duties. Pay is salaried at £29,500 per year, any additional work beyond working hours will be paid adhoc at £14.50ph we are offering Guaranteed contracted hours to enable job, financial security. Early Pay no waiting for payday thanks to our bespoke service, allowing you to access your pay when you need it. Mileage paid at 45p per mile. Pension scheme. Holidays 5.6 weeks per annum (pro-rata).
