Lecturer in Teaching and Learning Development
0.8FTE – 1FTE, 28.8 – 36 hours per week, 52 weeks per year
£33,550 - £40,073 per annum (pro-rata where applicable)
We are growing our Teaching and Learning Development team, who support student-facing staff at City College Norwich to gain professional qualifications in teaching, assessment, quality assurance and learning support. The role involves teaching, assessing, and observing professional practice(s), across a range of programmes from Levels 2-5, mentoring trainees, and taking a significant role in developing our Level 5 Diploma in Teaching: FE & Skills programme/Level 5 Learning and Skills Teacher apprenticeship programme. The role involves regular evening teaching.
Candidates should be able to evidence sustained exemplary teaching, learning and assessment practice(s), critically reflective approaches to practice that positively impact learners, a sound understanding of FE and Skills teacher-training qualifications, professional/occupational standards and inspection frameworks, and a critically informed knowledge of the requirements of teaching, assessor, IQA and learning-support roles in the sector. Experience as a teacher-trainer, and certificated occupational competence to support an immediate contribution across our full suite of programmes, including the “TAQA” suite is advantageous.
