A leading energy consultancy is seeking an experienced Cable Engineer for high-profile HVAC and HVDC transmission projects across the UK.
Responsibilities
* Design and develop HV cable systems, including selection, installation methods, and technical calculations.
* Produce engineering drawings, specifications, and documentation.
* Conduct site surveys, support installation, and ensure compliance with industry standards.
* Collaborate with project teams and provide expert technical guidance.
Requirements
* Degree in Electrical or Power Engineering (or equivalent).
* Extensive HV cable design and testing experience; HVDC desirable.
* Knowledge of IEC cable standards, CIGRE/IEEE policies, and 3rd-party cable activities.
* Chartered Engineer or working towards status.
* Willingness to travel across UK projects.
