The Role: As Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for managing a skilled engineering team to deliver exceptional standards that enable the business to supply customers on time, in full, at the right quality, and within a safe working environment. You will drive improvements across the site, deliver capex projects, and manage engineering budgets in line with business objectives. Key Responsibilities: Lead, mentor and develop a high-performing engineering team across a 24/7 manufacturing environmentProvide technical leadership ensuring alignment with company goals and customer requirementsOversee project planning, scheduling and execution, delivering on time and within budgetDrive innovation and continuous improvement, identifying optimisation opportunitiesManage relationships with external suppliers, contractors and cross-functional teamsEnsure plant safety compliance with H&S legislation as Site Electrical Duty HolderOversee engineering stores management, critical spares, and CPPM system optimisationChampion food safety and quality standards, supporting accreditation requirementsLead Lean manufacturing initiatives and improvement projects Essential Requirements: Engineering degree or related qualificationMinimum 10 years engineering experience with proven leadership and management track recordStrong technical background in automation systemsExperience delivering capex projects on time and within budgetFinancial acumen with budget management experienceFood industry or highly regulated industry experience preferredExcellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skillsProblem-solving expertise and incident management capabilities Location: South Essex Holidays: 25 days, Increases with service to 28 days.
