We are looking for flexible and confident Prison Careers Adviser (CIAG Adviser / FRT) to work with offenders in custody and help them prepare for employment on release from prison. You will be allocated a central base of work (in Nottingham or Leicester) but will need to work from different prison sites when needed. We pay your excess mileage expenses at 55p a mile for this.
If you have experience working with offenders or other disadvantaged people and want to make a difference, we would love to hear from you.
The job involves working with prisoners to prepare them to start a new life on release and break the cycle of reoffending.
This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference to people and communities.
We are especially looking for applicants with experience helping offenders or other vulnerable groups to progress. If you can connect with people to help them move forward, work in a prison environment, meet the contract's quality and compliance requirements, and work towards individual targets, we’d love to hear from you.
We’ll provide all necessary training, including funding for the IAG Level 4 qualification if you do not already hold it. Our teams are supportive and friendly to help new starters settle into the role.
The contract requires a 37.5-hour workweek with flexitime, allowing you to take back hours when working extra. This is a great benefit of working for Career Connect.

The salary for CIAG Advisers ranges from £26,485 to £30,012 annually.
