EHS Supervisor
Desford (LE9 - based full time onsite)
Monday to Thursday 8:00m to 4:00pm
Friday 8:00-12:00pm, EARLY FIRDAY FINISH (with some flexibility depending on business needs.)
We’re looking for an experienced EHS Supervisor to join a well-established engineering environment at a time when the team is managing a high and complex workload across multiple priorities.
This is a broad, hands-on EHS role where you’ll take ownership of Environmental, Health & Safety activity across site operations — supporting compliance, driving best practice, and playing a key role in developing a strong and sustainable safety culture.
What you’ll be doing
* Identifying workplace hazards and implementing effective control measures
* Managing and supporting the site risk assessment programme
* Delivering and maintaining the EHS training plan
* Auditing compliance against company standards and legal requirements
* Monitoring EHS performance trends and reporting findings to management
* Leading or supporting incident investigations and root cause analysis
* Supporting safety culture initiatives and behavioural safety improvements
* Contributing to environmental and sustainability practices on site
* Ensuring accurate EHS reporting, documentation, and governance
About you
We’re looking for a confident and experienced EHS professional who can step into a busy environment and make an immediate impact.
Essential requirements:
* NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent qualification (or degree-level H&S qualification)
* Minimum 5 years’ EHS experience
* Strong experience in engineering or manufacturing environments
* Proven ability to conduct risk assessments and incident investigations
* Experience producing clear, professional EHS documentation and reporting
* Strong understanding of EHS compliance and regulatory requirements
Desirable:
* Experience with Power BI or data-driven reporting tools
* Additional safety certifications (e.g. working at height, confined spaces)
* Exposure to industrial hygiene or health surveillance programmes
