Maths Tutor
Location: Pocklington, North Yorkshire
Contract: Part-Time, Term Time Only
Salary: £26 – £33 per hour
GSL Education is seeking an experienced Maths Tutor for a secondary school in Pocklington. This job role is suitable for a Maths Teacher looking for a different pace in the classroom, a Higher Level Teaching Assistant or a recent Maths Graduate.
As a Maths Tutor, you will be:
* Planning and delivering GCSE Maths intervention for students on a 1:1 basis.
* Liaising with class teachers to promote learning gaps.
* Supporting students to build confidence, close learning gaps, and prepare for GCSE exams.
* Adapting teaching methods to meet the needs of learners, including those with SEND.
* Using assessment for learning (AfL) strategies to monitor progress and provide feedback.
The ideal Maths Tutor will:
* Hold a degree in Mathematics or a related subject (or have relevant teaching experience).
* Have experience working with young people in a school or tuition setting.
* Be patient, proactive, and committed to helping students reach their full potential.
* Hold an enhanced DBS on the update service (or be willing to apply for one with GSL Education).
