We are looking for a friendly, organised and professional Front of House Receptionist to join our busy veterinary practice.

We are equipped with state-of-the-art diagnostic, surgical, and lab equipment to ensure the highest standard of care.


Key Responsibilities

As the first point of contact for our clients, you’ll play a vital role in creating a welcoming and supportive environment. From greeting owners and their pets to managing appointments and administrative tasks, you’ll ensure the smooth running of our front desk and deliver a first-class client experience. You must be well-groomed, personable and presentable as the face of the clinic.


* Greet clients and their pets with warmth and professionalism
* Manage incoming calls, emails, and appointment bookings
* Maintain accurate client and patient records
* Handle payments and invoicing
* Provide information on services, products, and general pet care advice (non-clinical)
* Support the veterinary team with administrative duties
* Ensure the reception area is tidy, safe and welcoming


Requirements

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Professional, approachable and empathetic manner
* Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
* Comfortable using computer systems and booking software
* Ability to remain calm under pressure in a busy environment
* Previous reception or customer service experience (ideally within a veterinary or healthcare setting, though not essential)
* A genuine love of animals and commitment to client care


Hours

40 hours per week, predominantly Monday to Friday, 08:30 to 17:30 (with a 1-hour unpaid break) but flexibility required on occasions with time in lieu.

* 5.6 weeks per calendar year, inclusive of public holidays.
