Cheshire West and Chester Council is a place where everyone can Thrive – through our core values of Teamwork, Honesty, Respect, Innovation, Value for Money and Empowerment. The ODHR team's core purpose is ' To deliver ODHR data, policies, reward and engagement strategies which enable colleagues to be the best they can be, to deliver excellent services.' About the Role Join us as an OD/HR Coordinator and play a key role in keeping our people strategies running smoothly. You’ll be at the heart of our OD/HR service — managing financial data, coordinating procurement for learning, rewards and benefits, and ensuring our processes are efficient and effective. From maintaining the Council’s Digital Apprenticeship Service account to supporting forecasting and budget management, you’ll help us deliver high‑quality organisational development and HR activity. No two days are the same: you’ll work with suppliers, colleagues and managers, support projects across the service, and use your data skills to ensure we make informed, evidence‑based decisions. Fully agile working means you can enjoy real flexibility while making a meaningful difference. About You You’re methodical, analytical and brilliantly organised — someone who thrives on accuracy, problem‑solving and keeping things running seamlessly behind the scenes. With experience in HR, L&D or finance‑related work, you’re confident interpreting data, using systems like Unit4, Excel and PowerBI, and communicating insights clearly to others. You’ll bring a proactive, can‑do mindset, a commitment to continuous improvement, and the ability to juggle multiple priorities with ease. Most of all, you share our values: teamwork, honesty, respect, innovation, value for money and empowerment — and you’re ready to use them to help colleagues be the best they can be.
