<div><p>Alexander Daniels are working with a leading law firm based in Coventry who are looking to recruit a Legal Accounts Assistant on a part-time, permanent basis (16 hours per week). Reporting into the Accounts Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily bookkeeping and providing a high-quality financial service to the firm and its clients.</p><h3>Responsibilities:</h3><ul><li>Accurate cashbook management and general ledger accuracy</li><li>Completing daily bank reconciliations for both client and office accounts</li><li>Daily preparation of online bank payments, (occasional) cheque raising</li><li>Daily allocation and reconciliation of payments</li><li>Assist in quarterly client interest calculation and processing</li><li>Assist Accounts Supervisor and Practice Director with finance-related queries and resolve client financial queries</li><li>Invoicing and credit note issuance ensuring correct VAT Treatment</li><li>Review ledgers to ensure any errors are picked up and corrected in a timely manner</li><li>Review debtor and creditor ledgers to ensure items are cleared as soon as possible</li><li>Ensure compliance with Solicitors Accounts Rules (including AML related processes), reporting any breaches</li><li>Provide fee earners with ad hoc financial information regarding matters and debts</li></ul><h3>Essential experience:</h3><ul><li>Knowledge of Solicitors Accounts Rules and Regulations</li><li>An understanding of accounting principles and practices</li><li>Anti-money laundering awareness</li><li>Experience with Legal accounting software</li><li>Ability to work within the requirement of confidentiality</li><li>High standard of accuracy and able to work under pressure</li></ul><p>On offer is the opportunity a join a supportive team with a competitive salary.
